Wahoo Wednesdays for the Rugrats in All of us

Wednesdays are dedicated to the kid in all of us. We will have a variety of posts for Wednesdays that will include things from art projects to story time to sharing to even fun things that have happened with my children.

I'd like to focus on story time with the kids. Sometimes it is hard to find the energy after a long day for stories (like tonight when I drove to Lewis Center and back). Rather than frustrate the kids, we can turn it high tech and let them listen to online stories.
The children love those, so I want to share with you some of our favorite links. :-)
Our absolute favorite is http://www.storylineonline.net/. This particular page will allow your children to hear stories told by famous people. It's fun to hear those.
Another interactive story place that includes fun activities for anytime is http://www.storyplace.org/storyplace.asp. This one has different age brackets, which helps with picking a book.
PBS has several different online stories available. Some of our favorite include http://pbskids.org/clifford/stories/index.html and http://pbskids.org/lions/stories/ and http://pbskids.org/barney/children/storytime/index.html.
http://www.cmlibrary.org/bookhive/. Go under the Zinger Tales to hear stories told by professional storytellers.

There are such a variety of story telling websites out there. These are just some of our favorite sites that we enjoy. If you have any additional recommendations, we would love to hear them as we really do enjoy our reading time :-)
